We checked for codes, changed oil and filter, installed a new water pump, pressure and vacuum tested lower unit, ran and tested motor. Performed a leak down test and found it had less than 3% on all the cylinders which is great.Buy with confidence all our used engines are inspected/ serviced by qualified marine technicians and ready to mount and run with a three month mechanical warranty.

Used Tohatsu 9.8 hp four stroke XL shaft (25”). This is a extra long shaft, tiller that has has electric start and power trim and tilt. This will come with tiller and prop. We can convert to a 20″ shaft if needed. We went through this motor and cleaned the carb, changed oil, installed a new water pump, pressure and vacuum tested lower unit, ran and tested motor. Performed a leak down test and found it had less than 2% on all the cylinders which is great.

THIS IS BOTH A PULL START AND AN ELECTRIC START MODEL. IT WONT LEAVE YOU STRANDED IF YOUR BATTERY GOES DEAD.
MECHANICALLY THE MOTOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE. COMPRESSION WAS 190-195 PER CYLINDER. IT FIRES RIGHT UP, PUMPS GOOD WATER , SHIFTS SMOOTH AND SOUNDS EXCELLENT WHEN YOU RAP THE THROTTLE
COSMETICALLY THE MOTOR LOOKS GREAT. IT HAS NEVER SEEN SALT WATER . THE PAINT AND DECALS ARE ALL ORIGINAL. THE POWERHEAD IS SUPER CLEAN AND THE OVERALL CONDITION OF THE MOTOR WILL MAKE THE NEW OWNER PROUD.
